From South Wales to Nashville

“Thank you so much for the opportunity you gave me last year. I will always be grateful and hope to give back in the near future.”

Thanks to a £1,200 grant from the Wales in London Philanthropic Fund, South Wales singer-songwriter Caitlin Mae secured a visa to tour in the US, which was the beginning of a new chapter in her music career. Now based in Nashville, she’s headlining gigs, playing festivals and preparing for a publishing deal.

After a standout performance at the St David’s Day celebrations in London, Caitlin was offered a management deal in Nashville. But to pursue it, she needed support to cover visa costs. With help from the fund, Caitlin moved to Nashville, signed with Dream Music Group and began building her profile, performing at the Montisi Nashville Festival in Italy and headlining shows across the US, from Illinois to Tennessee. Her music now airs regularly on Nashville radio.

Caitlin continues to tour and is in talks with publishers to share her original work more widely. The support she received at a pivotal moment made all the difference and she’s eager to pay that opportunity forward.
